User Reviews about How to Train Your Dragon

Ok so I took my kids to see the movie and of course after seeing such an amazing movie they of course wanted the game. If only someone had reviewed this for the 360 before I bought it I may have convinced them to get something else. If you're looking for a game based on the movie then keep looking. If you've played any of the Pokemon games on your Nintendo DS/Gameboy then this is almost what you're looking at.

You'll be playing as either Hiccup or Astrid and you basically battle whatever dragon you have in a one on one fight in an arena. There are training modes that earns you experience which levels up your dragon toughness and makes him better during the fights. There are also a few side quests that can be done throughout the game but the game is mostly based on your arena fights.

My 5 year old though enjoyed the game but my 9yr old thought that it was boring and the load times too long. So if you have older kids then this may not be game for you.

Gameplay (2) for the constant button smashing and long load times
Graphics (5) Really nice graphics
Sound (2) The voice overs are decent enough but gets repetitive after a while

Overall (3) -- If you enjoyed the movie you may not enjoy this game
